Facility in Erie, PA is looking for body/abdominal imaging radiologist.
Coverage Need Details: Consistent coverage of 5-10 shifts available per month; can be a
remote radiologist Start date is based upon credentialing. Looking for a person with
experience in reading body imaging. The imager should understand what that encompasses as most have a fellowship in this area. It won t entail cardiovascular imaging or fetal imaging. Facility is a level II trauma center and a comprehensive stroke center, has 2 neuro imagers so this radiologist won t be reading neuro exams. Turnaround times vary depending on outpatient/inpatient and stat exams.

Providers Typical Day: Remote or onsite radiologist to read body exams during day shift reading from 7:30 or 8:00 am through 4:30/5:00. We need the locum to be able to read the cross sectional exams at the volumes outlined below. Some are better and more efficient with these types of exams and are expected to read 30-40 cross sectional and 40 plain films each day. Cross section reads refers to imaging where you view the body in cross-sections or axial slices, such as CT, MRI, PET (PET/CT). Digital reads from multiple angles. A body fellowship trained imager will certainly have this skill set. We do not have a breakdown of reads per day per modality - it varies upon volume.

capacity to move current imagers around to do more in this specialty while hiring another
imager to pick up plain films and other types of imaging.

Procedures: None if remote; may be scheduled to perform procedures if onsite depending
on what the radiologist is privileged to perform. Site would be sending a remote workstation
