Morson is delighted to be working in partnership with a market leading Defence organisation, to recruit a Procurement Administrator for an initial 12 month duration. The role will involve a hybrid working arrangement with a split between 2-3 days a week working from home and 2-3 days a week being onsite in Bristol. We can offer an hourly rate of £17-£20 Per Hour PAYE for the successful candidate.

List duties and responsibilities using of the position that are required
• Verify that purchase requisition data (supplier approval status, part no., export control status, GL Account/Project no., etc.) is complete & exact
• Verify contract & price list validity and/or match with quotation and purchase requisition data including price, incoterms, delivery location & date
• Transform purchase requisitions into purchase orders, obtain & include required documentation, review for overall quality and send purchase order to supplier
• Ensure Purchase orders are acknowledged by supplier & attach to purchase orders
• Follow-up and expedite purchase orders pay attention to purchase orders with acknowledged dates past due
• Report shortages or delivery delays as soon as informed manage returns
• Manage purchase order modifications and keep information systems up to date with latest information & parameters
• Resolve invoicing problems relating to ordered products or services/Handle disputes that prevent the payment of orders under her/his responsibility
• Prepare documents or obtain relevant information/data to support claims made by My client on suppliers with whom he/she places/has placed orders
• Manage her/his Order Book and contribute to Order Book Reviews with suppliers
• Review & validate Excess/Useless reports for items under his/her responsibility
• Close purchase orders when all items are delivered and accepted

• Basic internal and supplier relationship
• Novice at commercial contracts & terms and conditions interpretation
• Good at using office productivity applications (Excel)
• Basic understanding of order management processes

• Good interpersonal skills

• Good communication skills (see Languages) oral and written
• Supportive, willing to help
• Able to commit and deliver results
