They are spearheading a monumental 200 million civil engineering project in the Midlands, with an overall contract value of 300 million. Key Responsibilities:

  1. NEC Contracts Mastery:

    • Navigate the complexities of NEC Contracts with finesse, ensuring seamless compliance and meticulous delivery of contractual obligations.
  2. Concrete Structures Expertise:

    • Assume a leadership role in the financial management of concrete structure works, from precise cost estimates to vigilant cost control and comprehensive reporting.
  3. Drainage Systems Leadership:

    • Spearhead the financial aspects of drainage works, showcasing your expertise through budgeting, forecasting, and nuanced cost analysis.
  4. Depot Development Oversight:

    • Contribute significantly to the financial success of depot development within the project, overseeing cost management strategies and ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  5. Masterful Cost Estimation:

    • Collaborate seamlessly with the project team to craft accurate and detailed cost estimates for diverse project elements, reflecting a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, particularly on large-scale civil engineering projects, with a preference for experience within the rail sector.
  • Profound knowledge of NEC Contracts and a demonstrated ability to manage contractual intricacies effectively.
  • Expertise in managing costs associated with concrete structures, drainage systems, and depot development, showcasing a nuanced understanding of each facet.
  • Robust analytical and numerical skills, underpinned by a keen eye for detail in cost estimation and financial reporting.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration with stakeholders, subcontractors, and project teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Chartered status with a recognized professional institution such as RICS.
