Our client are a well-established and successful tool hire company in Southall, London, known for providing high-quality equipment and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Van Driver to join their team. This is a permanent position with an immediate start date.

Job Description:

Position Overview: As a Van Driver , you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of tools and equipment to valued customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving our company vehicles, making multi-drop deliveries, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate company vans to make scheduled deliveries to customers within the Southall and surrounding areas.
• Load and unload tools and equipment, including heavy lifting, while ensuring the safe and secure transportation of goods.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain customer signatures when required.
• Provide excellent customer service, including answering customer inquiries and addressing any issues or concerns.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any issues or defects promptly.
• Adhere to all safety and traffic regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure orders are accurately prepared for delivery.

Qualifications:

• Valid UK driving license (Category B) with a clean driving record.
• Previous experience as a van driver, ideally in a multi-drop delivery role.
• Physically capable of heavy lifting and manual handling.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Knowledge of Southall and the surrounding areas is a plus.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work additional hours or weekends if required.
